In vivo function and comparative genomic analyses of the Drosophila gut microbiota identify candidate symbiosis factors

New paper from the Douglas group. They sequence several fly isolates and have made the genomes available; paper compares colonization with fly isolates vs. non-fly strains and uses genome analysis to predict potential “symbiosis factors” present in the fly isolates but not the non-fly isolates.
